Doctor, it hurts when I give all my money to the bank.

I learned something new this afternoon: according to David Wilson, writer for the Parkland Institute's The Post, the word "mortgage" means "grip of death" in French.

Apt.

I have 2 mortgages. Should I be hooked up to a heart monitor?

Given how realestate has gone through the roof since we left Edmonton, I wish we had been able to swing two Motgages. We're talking two properties here right?

Yes, that's two properties. We kept our house in Edmonton as a rental property. My sister still needed a place to live when we decided to move to Medicine Hat, and we just couldn't bear to part with the place, knowing that it's value would keep going up for the next five years for sure. But that decision did impact our ability to put a downpayment of any decent size on our house here.

Yeah, that's why we weren't able to do that with moving to Calgary, still I think you'll feel better about it in 5 years or less :)

- Peace
